About the Course

An intensive two-day Course by leading European glaucoma specialists, with in-depth discussions on diagnosis and therapy, available technologies and surgical techniques for glaucoma, featuring lectures, case presentations, hands-on workshops and surgical labs.

Name Badge

Each participant either in presence or virtual received a personal access code to be used to access both the APP and the online Virtual Platform. Residents in presence will fi nd their name badge and course kit on the assigned seat in the Plenary Room Madrid. Due to COVID regulations all physical contacts must be prevented and delegates presence must be tracked.

Meeting App

Residents attending the course on site will need to download the 14th EGS Residents’ Course App before arriving in Lisbon. Please search “MyEGS” in the APP store or Google play, choose the Course icon and log-in with your access code you previously received by e-mail.

Virtual Platform

Residents attending the course virtually will have to connect to the on-line virtual platform by clicking the dedicated button on the web-site home page, or through the link received on the registration confirmation e-mail. The live streaming sessions will be available on 18 September 2020 only. The same access code can be used to log in the virtual platform or in the APP. Please note that in order to get the certificate of attendance and request the UEMS credits on 18 September 2020, virtual participants will compulsory need to answer at last 80% of the questions during the sessions.

Prize Award

All registered residents have been assigned to a group as specified in the confirmation e-mail received. During Q&A times on 18 September 2020, residents attending either on site or virtually will have to participate in the Contest. Please, note that all the evaluations requested in the surveys will always be confidential and anonymous.
The two best in class or virtual connected groups will be awarded during the Contest and Prize delivery session on 18 September 2020.

Coffee Breaks and Lunches

On 18 and 19 September 2020, coffee breaks and lunch boxes will be served in the exhibition area close to the meeting rooms.

Social Dinner

The Social Dinner will be held at 20.00 on 18 September 2020 at Museu da Cerveja (Terreiro do Paço – Ala Nascente nº 62 a 65).
Metro: Az Santa Apolónia – Stop at Terreiro do Paço.

The official language of 14th EGS European Glaucoma Residents’ Course is English. All participants are encouraged to join discussions, independently of their fluency in English, as the exchange of ideas and critical evaluation of presentations is the main purpose of the Course.
